National Machinery's Engineering Scholarship

Given the importance of developing new engineering talent, National Machinery is committed to offering a special scholarship program to attract, educate, and train engineers who will continue our success in the years to come.
Engineering Scholarship Program

Awarded to a maximum of two high school seniors per year
-
$10,000 scholarship per year for up to 5 years
-
Employment during co-op periods and summer breaks
-
Post-graduation employment of a minimum of five years
Eligibility
-
Limited to high school seniors attending Seneca County area schools (list of eligible schools below) or children of National Machinery LLC employees.

Student must be enrolled or plan to enroll with an accredited college or university in pursuit of a Bachelor Of Science Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or Electrical Engineering degree (BSEE). Other Engineering fields of study are not eligible.

Student must submit an application form, high school transcript, and letter of recommendation from a school official.

Rules

Before any funding is provided, the student must submit proof of class registration as a full-time student.

Student must submit a transcript at the conclusion of each quarter or semester. Student must maintain a 3.0 minimum GPA or risk termination of scholarship funding. If the student’s GPA falls below the 3.0 threshold, the student is obligated to initiate a review with National Machinery management to determine the path forward.

If the student drops out of school, changes field of study, or falls below the minimum GPA level, the scholarship can be terminated and may require repayment of funding paid to date.

The student is expected to work at National Machinery for summer breaks and any co-op periods paid on an hourly basis. The work experience will include various assignments in the factory and in Engineering.

Post-graduation employment at National Machinery for a minimum of five years at competitive salary rates. The graduate must pass National Machinery’s standard protocol for employment that includes a
background check and drug screening. If the student fails this screening process, the scholarship funding is to be repaid in full. -
Winners of the National Machinery Foundation Scholarship are not eligible for the National Machinery Mechanical Engineering Scholarship.

National Machinery Foundation
Engineering & Technology Scholarship
The National Machinery Foundation has been providing financial assistance to students for more than 60 years through various scholarship and citizenship programs. The board of trustees of the foundation recognizes that with increased costs of tuition, greater incentives are needed to encourage area students to pursue advanced degrees needed in the manufacturing industry. It is well known that there is a need in the area for workers with training in the engineering sciences and technology. Scholarships are being offered again for students interested in these fields beginning with the fall enrollment of college students.
NM Foundation Scholarship Program

Awarded to a maximum of four high school seniors per year

$3,750 scholarship per year for a maximum of 4 years
Eligibility
-
Limited to high school seniors attending Seneca County area schools (list of eligible schools following) or children of National Machinery LLC employees.

Must be enrolled with an accredited college or university in pursuit of a 4-year Bachelor of Science degree or a 2-year associate degree in a technical field of study in the manufacturing industry.

Student must submit an application form, high school transcript, and letter of recommendation from a school official.

The winner of the National Machinery Engineering Scholarship is not eligible for the National Machinery Foundation Science & Technology Scholarship.
Rules

Funding provided only upon student submitting proof of class registration as a full-time student.

Scholarship to be paid directly to the institution of higher learning on winner's behalf.

Student must submit a transcript at the conclusion of each quarter or semester. Student must maintain a minimum GPA or funding will be suspended and possibly terminated. Minimum GPA is as follows:
- Freshman year = 2.7
- Sophomore year = 2.90
- Junior year and beyond = 3.0
